The standard engine has 3/8" bore cylinders, these are the same size as a standard Mamod or Jane locomotive. |

2.1mm of material has to be removed from either end of the cylinder
mounting bracket, this would be best done with a milling machine, but
with a little care a hand file would be just as good. |
The cylinders for Ruby are identical to the Excelsior replacement cylinders. The cylinder assembly's will be ready to bolt on (fully assembled) no further work being required. |

Please
note two types of Ruby locomotives are in circulation, early types
as in the above pictures have 1/8" (3.175mm) diameter piston
rods, later types having 3mm (.118") diameter piston rods, locomotive
type & piston rod diameter information must be supplied with your
