A milestone day today where RHH Franks received their SC21 Bronze award whilst attending the Advanced Manufacturing show. The hard work continues as we strive to achieve the prestigious silver and then gold awards. Well done to all the other award winners tonight, together we are improving the supply chain of our respective industries.

RHH Franks are proud to announce the expansion of our existing facility, due for completion early 2020.

This project along with multiple 5S activities throughout the organisation will significantly increase our capacity available to new and existing customers. This will improve our processes and reduce costs and lead times to customers.

Significant investment will see the increase in machining and heat treatment capacity and capabilities over the next 12 months.

RHH Franks (New Milton) Limited Inspire Young People into the Job Market

Success at the New Forest’s first Get Inspired.

The first Get Inspired New Forest, an interactive careers fair, took place on 27th June 2019 at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu. The event was organised by EBP South and sponsored by ExxonMobil Fawley, Southern Universities Network and New Forest District Council.

RHH Franks (New Milton) Limited, along with 28 businesses attended with interactive activities to inspire the young people, our future work force into different careers. As soon as the event was announced there was a huge uptake from the secondary schools in the New Forest with over 250 students attending, only one New Forest school was unable to attend.

For RHH Franks, inspiring future engineers is crucial to the future of our organisation and the industry as a whole and we feel it is important that opportunities are available.

During the event we provided the resources needed for the students to make a personalised tag, many were enthusiastic including the teachers!! Care and patience were both skills that were required to get a good end product and overcoming barriers such as wearing safety glasses and gloves were new concepts for many. The end results were inspiring for all and we look forward to attending future events with EBP South.

Suzanne Lewis, EBP South Project Manager said; ‘Get Inspired are essential events that give young people the opportunity to connect to the world of work and gain meaningful encounters with employers where they can understand the different careers and skills needed for them. Young people are able to see the jobs that match their strengths or they enjoy, which could be their future job role.’

Get Inspired takes place in different locations across Hampshire; the events help young people to decide on different potential future career paths and can influence their decision on choosing options, college, apprenticeships and future career choices. Get Inspired Portsmouth now attracts over 1000 students and 60+ businesses.

Angharad Vaughan, Community Affairs Adviser for ExxonMobil Fawley said, ‘ExxonMobil Fawley is delighted to be supporting Get Inspired New Forest for its inaugural event. As a local employer, we are committed to encouraging young people to engage in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).’

‘By visibly demonstrating that these subjects can be fun, we hope to inspire young learners to want to become the engineers and scientists of the future. The key to learning is often enjoyment, and our volunteers will certainly be doing their best to make sure that is what they bring to Get Inspired New Forest.’

The event is free for schools to attend to ensure young people from all schools and backgrounds are given the opportunity to learn about different careers.

Get Inspired events are funded by sponsorship from businesses recognising the importance of investing in young people, their future work force and often the local community. The sponsors at Get Inspired New Forest were ExxonMobil Fawley, Southern Universities Network and New Forest District Council.
