Aerospace manufacturer awarded Cyber Essentials certification

RHH Franks, a significant UK manufacturing firm supplying the global aerospace, defence, nuclear and marine industries, has been awarded Cyber Essentials certification.

The government-run scheme, which was introduced to protect organisations against common cyber security threats, is a prerequisite for many businesses looking to gain approved supplier status with prospective OEM partners.

As a result of the recent certification, RHH Franks has been able to fulfil the minimum requirements for a wider pool of clients, which already include Honeywell, Eaton Aerospace and Cobham.

Following a self-assessed certification demonstrating that the business had appropriate technical controls in place to protect online data, assets and privacy, RHH Franks was awarded Cyber Essentials by independent verifier, NormCyber Limited.

To ensure ongoing cyber-readiness, RHH Franks will be required to reapply for certification every 12 months.

Elsa Hogan, Managing Director at RHH Franks, commented: “The Cyber Essentials certification adds yet another string to our accreditation bow and endorses our position as a manufacturer who is committed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

“It provides additional reassurance to our clients that we are a business they can trust and demonstrates our credibility alongside our other certifications and approvals including Nadcap and AS9100.”

Cyber Essentials is the latest in a long line of accreditations and quality standards that RHH Franks adheres to and as a business, they continuously strive for more industry-wide approvals.
